Client User Invitations: Help with Common Issues

Client user invitations in Easyeviction are time-sensitive and require action within a set period. If an invitation expires, the client user may be unable to access their account using the invitation link or the Forgot Password option. This article explains why this happens and outlines the steps administrators can take to restore access so client users can log in and continue using Easyeviction without disruption.

Invitation Code Expiration (24 Hours)

When a client user is invited to Easyeviction, the invitation email includes a verification code that is valid for 24 hours.

If the client user does not complete account creation within this time period:
1. The invitation code will expire.
2. The invitation link can no longer be used.
3. The Forgot Password option will not work until the account is verified.

How Administrators Can Resolve an Expired Invitation

Easyeviction administrators can manually resolve this issue by force verifying the client user’s account.

Steps to Force Verify a Client User

1. Click the Contacts widget.
2. Navigate to the Clients: Open Evictions page.
3. Locate the affected client user and open their profile.
4. Click Manage Users at the top of the screen.

5. Click the meatball menu (three dots). Then, select Force Verification.

This action automatically confirms the client user’s account and allows them to proceed with password setup.

What the Client User Should Do Next

After the account has been force verified, the client user must be informed that they can reset their password and log in.

1. Go to the Easyeviction login page.
2. Click Forgot Password.
3. Enter the email address associated with the account.
4. Follow the instructions to reset the password.
5. Log in to Easyeviction using the new password.

If a client user invitation expires in Easyeviction, the user will be unable to access their account. Administrators can resolve this issue by verifying the user, allowing them to reset their password and log in successfully.
