In the dynamic world of eviction proceedings, effective communication between landlords, tenants, and their attorneys is crucial. That's why EasyEviction introduces a game-changing way of messaging through its Attorney Portal.

Below are the steps on how you can use the messaging tool.

Step 1: Messages Icon

Click the Messages widget on the leftmost side or the "Send Message" button on your dashboard.

Step 2: Messages Page

After clicking the "messages" widget or "send message" button, you will be directed to the Messages Page where you can create a new message.

Select a case to start messaging. The Messages are sorted from the newest to the oldest.

ICONS:

  1. "Mark all messages as read" Icon: This action will designate all messages as read, and it cannot be reversed. Please note that this action will solely impact your account and will not have any effect on other users.

  2. "Filter" Icon: Clicking this icon will show an "Unread Filter" which is used to display only unread messages.

  3. "Filter Search Box" Icon: This icon is used to search and filter cases on the messages. You can filter a message or messages by typing a Case ID, Address, or Plaintiff's Name.

  4. "Write a Message" Icon: Clicking this will compose a new message. Prior to typing a message, you have the option to search for a specific client or case by selecting the circle next to the respective client or case icon.

THREE WINDOW PANES:

  1. Filter Pane: On the leftmost pane is where you can find the four different icons. Also, you may filter the messages by clicking on the "Case" or "Client" button under the Filter Search Box.

  2. Message Pane: This is where you can find the communication of both the sender and the receiver.

  3. Case Details Pane: This section displays the Plaintiff's name, Address, Tenant's name/s, Assigned Attorney, and Open Date. You may open the case for more details on this pane. Additionally, you can tag specific messages by typing a custom name or description for easy reference.

This messaging system allows both parties to communicate in real time and it also allows them to have a record of all the communications for reference and documentation.

The attorney or client can also use the messaging portal to provide updates on the status of the case and to answer any questions the landlord or tenant may have.

The messaging portal is secure and all communication is encrypted to protect the privacy of both parties. It is available 24/7 and both parties can communicate with each other at any time.
